Almost Gourmet Food Service (ALGO) is a home-based business specializing in meal packs and party trays. Our meals are a variety of freshly-cooked meals that are delicious, nutritious and budget-friendly. Our menu consists of international cuisine -- ranging from Italian, Japanese, to our very own Filipino. Our clients include office workers and private residents who appreciate good food at affordable prices. With ALGO, you no longer need to dine in fancy restaurants to get a daily dose of gourmet.
ALGO started its operations in August of 2008, providing meal packs to one office in Eastwood City. Realizing the opportunity to provide good and affordable food to offices other than her own, Joyce Romualdez (owner and founder), left the corporate world in December of 2009 to focus more on her food business. Today, Almost Gourmet has provided food to hundreds of companies and homes in Metro Manila.
So, why "Almost" Gourmet?
1. Our meals are placed in reusable plastic containers and disposable aluminum trays instead of fancy plates and bowls. We, however, try to make them look as pleasing as possible because we believe that people eat with their eyes first.
2. Since our meals are picked up/delivered, we do not have a "restaurant ambience." But with how our food tastes, there's no need for fancy ambience!
3. Our head cook wears a hair net instead of a chef's hat -- and what a great cook she is!
4. Almost Famous is one of the owner's favorite movies. "It's all happening!"
5. Just like in Pinoy "turo-turos," you just gotta ask: "Anong ulam?"
